Bryan Cranston Goes to World War Z

It appears that Mark Strong has found some competition in the quest for the title of Actor Who Is In Everything 2011 with news that Bryan Cranston has recently found himself turning up in the middle of upcoming zombie extravaganza World War Z, so says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is based on a book of the same name which follows a journalist (played by Brad Pitt) who picks up accounts of the individuals living, dying and getting up again during the apocalypse of the undead. There’s no solid confirmation on what exactly the Breaking Bad star will be involved in but there is mention of an apparently “small, but flashy” role for the lad. Previous theories of Cranston playing a zombie streaker have since been quashed.

I haven’t read the book myself or jumped on Breaking Bad, the show that has clearly got Cranston so much attention (it’s on the to-do list, I promise) but the whole idea of a collection of short stories in one massive zombie-thon sounds mighty interesting. Cranston can now add World War Z to his list of upcoming projects that consist of Drive, Contagion, Red Tails, John Carter (Mark Strong’s in that one too), Rock of Ages, Total Recall and Argo. He’ll also be voicing Jim Gordon in Batman: Year One and is also rumoured to be attached to London Fog. Mr. Strong, you have met your match sir.
