Jesse Eisenberg is Richard Ayoade’s Double

As the success wave for Submarine continues to roll out with its recent arrival on the shiny discs, it’s safe to say director Richard Ayoade is getting the attention he deserves. Turns out though he’s getting more than expected with news from Vulture that Jesse Eisenberg (he’s quite big at the moment apparently) could be starring in the ex-IT Crowd members next project, The Double.

By the sounds of things the green light hasn’t been fully switched on to confirm Eisenberg’s involvement just yet but either way it’s news that’s got awesome written all over it. If all goes well Eisenberg will star as a man who has his life turned on its face when his office gets a new addition that is exactly like him in every way, even down to his name. It’s here where we’re guessing comedy and a slow decline into insanity ensues and we will see Eisenberg battling Eisenberg till only the true Eisenberg remains.

A perfect combo that we never saw coming if all holds true and one we can’t wait to see. Watch this space for full confirmation soon.
