Chris Evans’ New Film Gets A Puncture

Puncture

You say the name Chris Evans to most people and the instant thought is of a slightly eccentric man with ridiculously red hair that would rival lil’ orphan Annie, who used to shout on Channel 4 a lot in the mid 90s. That is not the Chris Evans we are writing about here mind, this one would be better known as The Human Torch or more recently for reviving/ruining Captain America himself.

Puncture looks to be on the other side of the coin entirely though as we’ve fallen into the genre of Drama, Evans plays Mike a young lawyer who has a hankering for the white stuff, pills and other various drugs who co-runs a barely-getting by ay-ass-you-go law firm.

Things are running fairly to the usual grind with him and his best mate and firm partner Paul Danziger (co-director Mark Kassen) until they take on an interesting and unexpected case, that of an ER nurse Vicky who needs the lads help because she was pricked by a contaminated needle on the job.

The case soon unearths a pretty big scandal and potential pharmaceutical conspiracy and the underdog tag-team soon find themselves in water above their heads and struggling to fight.

The clip below entitled ‘I’ll see you in court’ shows a bit of a tense moment where Evans show off his acting chops, the sad point that must be made though is that considering that this is an American Independent film it is very unlikely that it will make it across to our cinemas and that we will all have to wait until the DVD/blu-ray release instead.

Shame that.

Confession time: I didn't watch Star Wars until I was 24, I don't alphabetise my film collection, I'll happily admit to liking bad films and Daniel Craig is my least favorite 007.
