Over the last few months we have seen many different names crop up on the supposed cast list for the last of the Christopher Nolan Batman films, The Dark Knight Rises, some believable and others we haven’t quite been able to place.
The sweet natured and talented young actress Juno Temple who is sadly best known for the remakes of the St Trinians films has put in some fine performances in period set films such as Atonement, Glorious 39 and Cracks.
Word on the street about her character in the film that we’re all waiting for comes from an interview with Total Film, in which she chatted the usual what are you doing next garb but also did a little big of an (accidental?) sneaky reveal:
… “I can’t talk about that”, as you might expect. She did add that she thought Christopher Nolan is “awesome”, saying that “There’s something really gentlemanly about him. He’s got an insane, incredible vision going on. Just getting the opportunity to work with him is awesome”.
So nothing majorly surprising there but elsewhere on the page the suggestion that Temple is set to play Holly Robinson was made. For those not clued up with the Frank Miller days of the Bat-verse (Batman: Year One) Holly was Selina Kyle’s best friend and roomie, oh and was also a causal modern pretty woman who walked the night.
As the story progresses, Holly Robinson becomes Catwoman’s sidekick, and the suspicion is now that that’s the role she’ll fulfil in Nolan’s new movie. What do we think, would that work? Or do you think she’s up for playing someone else and this is a red herring?
