Werner Herzog Added To One Shot Cast List

It feels like we can’t do a news round on our lovely little site without mentioning a new addition to upcoming Tom Cruise starring thriller One Shot but today we’ve got a pearler. Mad, rad, shoe-munching film maker Werner Herzog has just been added to the cast list. Hoe. Lee. Sh*t!

Pinch as hard as you want, this isn’t a dream, nor is it April 1st. Nope, the news comes from Variety who have revealed that director Christopher McQuarrie bravely approached the Bad Lieutenant director and asked him if he wanted to play the villain of the piece. Herzog has now given the job a thumbs up and will play the baddie who gives our lad Jack Reacher (Cruise) some trouble as an ex-prisoner of war and is involved with the supposed sniper responsible for the deaths of five people.

It’s a casting choice that is as loony as the man who has filled the spot and we can’t wait to see the results. If One Shot didn’t have a lot of our attention already, it does now.
