Before Edward and Bella and before we watched trailers and read the news on our phones, well there was a film that sent the world into a mental tornado of adoration. Granted, we’ve seen it all before, but never quite like this, if one film film was made to one day be re-released in 3D then Titanic is hardly a bad choice, just looking at that video where Celine sings her little heart out, you can easily pick out parts that will look worth the hassle of the conversion and our suggestion is maybe to ignore the rest.
Obviously until you see the below in a cinema then you may as well have picked up the DVD from your shelf and watched the highlights, as you’ll not be viewing it in 3D at home, but here’s the trailer anyway. Jim C himself presented it to Facebook earlier tonight, thanking the 10million fans and basically bigging it up.
If Mr Cameron has still to convince you that 3D is the way forward then the sheer amount of time, dosh and effort he has personally spent on the added dimension in this huge Oscar winning film should do the trick.
It’s difficult to get too excited about this as no footage is new and it’s kind of creepy to see Kate and Leo so young and did anyone else forget how awful the script and Billy Zane are in this film? The two studios are spending $18 million converting the film, a winner of 14 Academy Awards and the highest grossing movie of all time until Cameron’s Avatar knocked it from its perch in 2009.
Thumbs up if you’re intending to stick the film on before the re-release in April to work out which bits you’re wanting to see in their 3D glory!
