Check In To The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

We were lucky enough to see a preview screening of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel last week, we’re under embargo until 2012 though so can’t tell you much about it other than you should see it. 

Dev Patel goes back to where it all began for his film career, India but rather than in a role anything like the Danny Boyle one that shot him to fame in Slumdog Millionaire. This time he’s a lad in love with a girl, dealing with a mum that does not approve of the match and competing with his overly successful brothers.  

He’s an ideas man and strikes gold, his hotel is suffering, no guests can kind of be an issue  so he thinks up a genius idea that finds the best of the Brits,  Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Maggie Smith and Celia Imrie wind up booking rooms in his derelict building. 

Through different situations all of the above check in an find a new way of life, it agrees with some, disagrees with others but it’s bloody funny! Check out the trailer below, the film hits the big screen February 24th 2012.
