New Images From Frankenweenie and Brave

Disney has yet another big year ahead of it with both Pixar’s Brave and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie hitting the big screen. If Disney are to wipe the horrific memory of Cars 2 (and actually Cars thinking about it) from our minds then these films had best be good. Heed my warning Disney…

Of the two I have to say Frankenweenie sparks my interest more. About a little boy Victor who resurrects his pet after it dies only to find he can’t control it, Frankenweenie is based, not only obviously on Frankenstein, but also the 1984 stop motion short he made that helped establish his name in Hollywood. So you know it’s going to be special. And I mean special in a good way.

Brave as we all know by now is about a young girl who wants to be fiercely independent from her noble family and hand-tying traditions but ends up having to break an ancient curse from destroying her family and the whole kingdom. Silly girl. She should of just occupied herself by resurrecting a pet.

Whilst we have to wait till August 17th for Brave we have to wait even longer for Frankenweenie which doesn’t hit cinemas till October 5th. Which one are you most looking forward to? Let us know.
