Granted, it’s a tad unusual to start off a story with a video but hey sometimes you have to break out of the box. For anyone who experience the joy that was Fast Five you’ll be only too aware of the epic fight scene which sees The Rock face-off against Vin Diesel in a style that is over-the-top, sweaty and downright awesome.
Well, The Rock, or Dwayne Johnson as we are supposed to call him these days has told MTV all about the plans, in short they no longer have the intention to shoot Six and Seven back-to-back and they’ll be shooting them in a little bit of a less exotic location. Budget cuts? More money needed to buy more expensive things to blow up and bring back bigger ex-cast members? He said:
“I don’t think we’re going to shoot them back-to-back.” “We were going to try that because it wouldn’t make sense to have the same crew and have everybody there in one place [and not try it], but I think we’re dealing with some weather issues, so from what I know we’re going to shoot Fast Six first and then worry about Fast Seven a little later.”
“We’re going to be in the UK, we’re going to be in Germany, from what I know,” “That’s the early talk. And we’re going to start shooting in May.”
So there we have it, from the horses mouth himself, stay tuned for more updates on the way to May 24th, 2013 as that is when Fast Six is set to rev it’s engines.
