New Character Poster For The Avengers

Ah, there’s nothing like a bit of self-promotion. Revealed through his Twitter account, Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Coulson in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, has set free to the world his character poster.

He very almost got a poster to himself but oh wait, who’s that? Samuel. L. Jackson stealing the limelight as usual… one of the many reasons to love him. To be quite frank it looks like Gregg’s trying his utmost hardest to look cool, calm and collected despite the fact that there’s flying shrapnel being flung everywhere and he’s standing in fire, whereas Jackson is looking at him with an expression that says “seriously. Do you not see the shrapnel? Do you not SEE the fire? I only have one eye and I can. You know what, I’ve had it, with this god damn shrapnel, in this god damn air.” Or maybe I’m reading too much into his expression.

As the poster reminds us, American Star Wars fans hoping to rule the day will have to take a back seat as The Avengers is released on May the fourth (be with you). Us here in the UK however, only have til April 26th to wait. Winning.
