Trailer For Lola Versus Tells Us How It Is

Everyone needs a hero and everyone needs someone to relate to, I think I and many other young women just found ours. Meet Lola, a young woman who’s just been dumped and nothing is going right for her – her world is shattered as her groom-to-be trashed her three weeks before their wedding. So it’s back to the drawing board as she attempts to figure it all out all over again and some of her attempts look hilarious. 

Many films have dealt with these types of situations before but with the awesome Greta Gerwig as it’s lead this one seems to have a rateable honesty, awkwardness and spark to it. She’s soon to be seen in Whit Stilman’s  Damsels in Distress too where the tables are entirely the opposite as she’s playing a chaste college girl who cures depression with dancing. 

Fox Searchlight is positioning the film as being in the tradition of another of their hit quirky summer romances, like 500 Days of Summer - which helped launch Zooey Deschanel into the mainstream.

The trailer for this comedic trip is posted for you below and sees release across the pond June 8th but sadly there’s no date announced for the UK as of yet.. We will keep you posted.
