There are certain films whilst growing up that if you missed out on then well, you just didn’t have a childhood. One fine entry involved Bette Midler, three witches and a virgin lighting a candle. Yes it turns out that reports are coming in that Disney are planning to return to their 90′s classic, Hocus Pocus and give it a bloomin’ sequel!
Moviehole have got wind that Disney are apparently planning Hocus Pocus: Rise Of The Elderwitch, which would follow on from the first instalment that saw three witches rise from their grave to steal away some kids only to be thwarted by some youngsters and a talking cat. Now if memory serves me right, I recall sisters Winnie (Kathy Najimy) and Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) bursting into magic dust and leading devil-lady Winnie (Bette Midler) turning to stone, which means there’s a possibility that she could actually return. Having said that, if there is in fact an Elderwitch we could have a brand new broomriding bat causing trouble instead.
Of course this is all just rumour at the moment but if any more news develops we’ll be sure to keep an eye out.
