New Dredd Poster Gives A Sentence

One lawman will be waltzing into Comic-Con (did we mention that was happening next month) that his fans are still slightly dubious about considering his last cinematic outing. Having turned up in a new trailer a few moons ago, Dredd has now appeared in a fancy new motion poster that has Mega City One’s toughest enforcer shooting up our screen (rude, he’s got his back to us as well).

Based on the 2000AD’s grumbling poster boy, Dredd sees Karl Urban chuck his shaver away and don some mean facial hair and that iconic helmet taking to the futuristic streets and pulling in perps by any means necessary. His latest case however, sees him bust into an apartment complex that is the nesting ground for a drug syndicate that are shipping out a deadly new substance known as Slo-mo. Keen to shut the place down, Dredd wanders in thinking he’s got it sorted, that is until the boss of the drug organisation, Ma-Ma puts the complex on lockdown and a target on our hero’s shiny head gear.

Co-starring Oliva Thirlby as psychic rookie Anderson and TV Queen Bitch of Game Of Thrones, Lena Headley as Ma-Ma, the cast shapes up rather nicely. Expect to see explosive results when the film hits cinemas in September.
