Having made a panda a lethal distributor of pain all in the name of kids entertainment, DreamWorks are continuing to toughen up child friendly characters and this time they’ve managed make Santa Claus look like a jolly old Russian tattoo artist. We are referring of course to the rather cool looking animation, Rise Of The Guardians which has just got itself a brand new trailer.
After getting a peek at it back in March with the teaser, this new preview shows a lot more of the back story concerning the films lead, Jack Frost (Chris Pine). Snatched up by the The Big Four; Santa Claus (Alec Baldwin), Sandman, The Tooth Fairy (Reese Witherspoon) and The Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman) who enlist the young trickster in their fight against the nightmare spewing Boogeyman known as Pitch (Jude Law). From here Jack must learn to work as a team with these fantastical members of children’s dreams and restore the faith in youngsters before it’s too late.
Now history dictates that any film with the Easter bunny has struggled to succeed in the past (Russell Brand, shame on you) but still, we can’t help but get excited over seeing this team of tweaked well-known characters go to arms and look rather cool doing so. The vocal talents involved seem to be top-notch (we particularly love Jackman as the Easter Bunny) and we can’t wait to see more when the film arrives November 30.
