Thor 2 Loses Mads Mikkelsen

Some bad news has befallen Asgard recently after discovering that it’s villain-to-be Mads Mikkelsen won’t be appearing in the upcoming comic book movie sequel, Thor 2. The news comes from the man himself who revealed that declining the job was all down to poor timing…

“I went in for a meeting, it was a little bit too late, and then Hannibal came up. And it films during the same period, so…”

Mikkelsen is referring to the upcoming television series Hannibal that follows the early days of everyone’s favourite people eating therapist who in fact works with the FBI to track down ‘orrible murderers alongside Special Agent Will Graham. So it’s basically Dexter but our anti hero disposes of the bodies by putting them on Gas Mark 6 and leaving them to cook for 15-20 minutes.

If there’s one thing we know that Mikkelsen can pull off it’s playing the villain and whilst we’re intrigued to see his take on the good Doctor we’re still a tad gutted that we won’t be seeing him facing off against Chris Hemsworth as planned. Expect rumours to come flying in now on who will take the job instead.
